Today I interviewed my oldest friend. Steve, known professionally as Dr. Stephen Engstrom, is an orthopedic surgeon in Nashville, TN. In a wide-ranging discussion, Steve explains how his practice has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, describes PPE (personal protective equipment) and good health practices and then delves into sports injuries, surgeries and how to reduce overuse injuries in youth sports. This is the start of a series. Steve plans to be a regular guest on the show and we will be doing episodes about movies, music, sports, gambling, law and more. At some point we might even talk about legal issues.
